Lucky Lawns Landscaping was started by Colton Kerkhoff during the summer between 8th and 9th grade as a way to balance earning his own money with a demanding high school football training schedule.
After years of helping his dad and grandparents with lawn work, along with taking on several neighborhood projects that came his way, Colton realized this was the right fit. What started as a practical way to work around sports and school quickly grew into a dependable local lawn and landscaping business.
Now, as he finishes his sophomore year of high school, Colton continues to take on a manageable number of clients for steady weekly mowing and trimmings, while also offering larger seasonal and project-based work throughout the summer, fall, and winter.
For bigger jobs, Colton works with a small network of hardworking friends who can help complete mulch installs, landscaping projects, leaf cleanup, and snow removal efficiently. His sister, now a freshman in high school, is often the first to jump in and help.
